Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Any returns must be unworn or unused and in their original condition and packaging, and you must have your receipt or delivery documents as proof of purchase. This is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights. Once we have received and processed your return, you will receive a refund by the same method as you paid, or if you have opted for an exchange, your new order will be dispatched.

Return faulty goods within 6 months for a full refund or exchange.

If you don't have your receipt or delivery documents, you can supply us with a credit card or bank statement for proof of purchase. Please remove your payment card number by cutting out the details or by covering the number, then scanning your documents.

Return by Post

To return by post, we have a selection of carriers you can choose from - all free of charge.

Please follow the steps below to produce your Returns label or QR barcode for instore printing:

  1. Go to our Online Returns Portal.
  2. You will be prompted to enter your order number (e.g. 612345678) and delivery or billing postcode.
  3. Select the item(s) that you would like to return, whether you’d like a refund or an exchange & then returns reason.
  4. If you are returning for an exchange, select your new size or fit.
  5. Select your preferred shipping method and enter the required information to register your return.
  6. Send your items back to us with the original Packing Slip, so we can identify your order number.
  7. Once your return has arrived back at Clarks, we will issue your refund, or dispatch your exchange order.

Please note: you cannot return or exchange any orders placed on our Outlet website through this returns portal. To return Outlet orders, please visit

Return your items by post

Return to a Clarks Store

You can return your order to a Clarks Store for an Exchange or for an Immediate Refund. We recommend returning your order to a Clarks Store* if a product is faulty, or you ordered the wrong size. Our store staff can assist you in finding an alternative product in the correct size. Please remember to bring your proof of purchase, such as an Order Confirmation email (either printed or on your mobile/tablet device) or an invoice/receipt. You will also need to bring the credit/debit card used to make the original purchase.

*Excludes Outlet, Factory Stores, Wholesale and Eire, or any other Clarks Store outside the UK.

Returns Policy


Refunds for online orders are credited back to the original payment method.

Refunds for orders placed in store will need to be refunded via a BACS payment directly into your bank account as we do not capture card details for store placed orders. Please be advised that a member of our Customer Care Team will contact you directly to obtain details.

Please allow 5 to 10 days for the refund to be credited back to your bank account. This may take a little longer depending on how long it takes your bank/building society to process the payment.


If you would like to exchange your order for a different size or fit, you can do this FREE OF CHARGE via our quick and easy to use Returns Portal. Simply go to the portal, log your return, and exchange requirements, send your parcel back and we’ll dispatch your new size as soon as your original order is received at our warehouse.

You can also return to any of our Full Price Clarks Stores* within 28 days of receipt, or for items purchased in a sale within 14 days.

*Excludes Outlet, Factory Stores, Wholesale and Eire, or any other Clarks store outside the UK.

Klarna returns

Online orders paid for using Klarna need to be returned to our distribution centre where you will be refunded to your original form of payment. Online orders placed using Klarna cannot be returned to store for a refund or exchange, or gift card. For online orders paid for using Klarna, the refund will be processed to your original payment method. All refunds can take up to 14 days to show in your bank account.
