1 Eligibility
1.1 The Competition is only open to entrants who at the time of entering are:
1.1.1 residents of the UK or Ireland; and
1.1.2 in Years 2,3,4, 5 or 6 (or equivalent) of a primary school in the UK or Ireland.
1.2 Employees or agents of Clarks and their family members, and anyone else involved in the running of this Competition may not enter.

2 How to enter
2.1 In order to enter the Competition, entrants must fill in the submission form online at and follow the steps to submit their entry.
2.2 Each entrant must include the following information in their online submission:
2.2.1 A description of the entrant's real or imaginary school trip in written, pictorial, audio or video format;
2.2.2 The entrant's full name and age;
2.2.3 The entrant's parent or guardian's full name, address, contact phone number and email address; and
2.2.4 The name of the entrant's school, as well as the school's address, contact details and head teacher's name.
2.3 Entrants should submit their entries under the supervision of a parent or guardian to ensure that they have followed the correct online procedure for submitting their entry and provided all the required information.
2.4 After completing the online submission form, the entrant's parent or guardian must check that they have received a confirmation email. If no confirmation email is received, the entry may not have been validly submitted, in which case the parent or guardian should either submit the entry again

3 Competition opening and closing dates
3.1 The competition will commence on 7 July 2014 and closes at 5pm on 20 September 2014. Attempts to enter the competition before the competition commences or after it closes will not be considered.

4 Winner selection
4.1 Subject to Clarks' approval, all valid entries submitted while the Competition is open will be considered by a panel of judges selected by Clarks (the Competition Judges). Judging will take place in the week commencing 13 October 2014.
4.2 The Competition Judges will select the winner entry (the Winner) having regard in particular to the following criteria:
4.2.1 originality;
4.2.2 creative story-telling; and
4.2.3 the overall quality of the entry.
4.3 The Winner will be selected at the sole discretion of the Competition Judges.

5 Announcement of Winner
5.1 Once selected, the Winner's parent or guardian will be contacted directly and informed that the Competition Judges' have selected their child as the Winner.
5.2 The results will then be announced publicly online and via various social networking sites on or before the week commencing 13th October.

6 Prize
6.1 Winning the Competition entitles the Winner and his/her whole class to a day-long school outing (the School Trip) arranged and paid for by Clarks.
6.2 The Prize is subject to the conditions below at Clauses 7-13. Entrants should pay close attention to Clause 9.
6.3 Please note that the Prize is non-transferable and the Winner cannot request any alternative prize (cash or otherwise).
6.4 If for any reason the Winner chooses not to take advantage of the Prize, or if the Winner/ Winner's School does not comply with any of the conditions in Clauses 7-13 of these Terms and Conditions, Clarks may cancel the Prize and ask the Competition Judges to select a new Winner.

7 The School Trip Date
7.1 The School Trip will take place on a date to be determined by Clarks (the School Trip Date). The anticipated School Trip Date will be on 12 February 2015 or, if for any reason this date is not available, 13 February 2015.
7.2 Clarks may contact each entrant's schools to check the availability of certain dates before the Competition Judges have reached their decision. This should not be taken as indication that any child from that school has been selected as the Winner.
7.3 Please note that the School Trip Date is not subject to the approval or availability of the Winner, his/her classmates or any members of staff at the Winner's school. If the Winner and his/her class cannot participate on the dates specified by Clarks, an alternative Winner may be selected.
7.4 Alternative trips will not be arranged for any children who are unable to attend on the School Trip Date.

8 The School Trip Location
8.1 Clarks will endeavour to select a location for the School Trip (the School Trip Location) that will be fun and educational for the Winner and his/her class. The final School Trip Location will be determined with reference to the age of the Winner and location of the Winner's school.
8.2 Please note however that the School Trip Location selected by Clarks is final and not subject to the approval or input of the Winner or any members of staff at the Winner's school.
8.3 Clarks may change the School Trip Location up to 3 weeks before the event is scheduled to take place.
8.4 In the event of bad weather, alternative indoor activities may be arranged by Clarks at the School Trip Location.

9 Duties of the Winner's School
9.1 Clarks will require the co-operation of the school named by the Winner on his/her original entry submission (the Winner's School) to ensure the School Trip is effectively planned and managed. This is primarily to help guarantee the health, safety and security of the children during the School Trip.
9.2 The Winner's School must therefore provide Clarks with the following documents at the latest 14 days before the School Trip:
9.2.1 the school's general risk assessments for school trips;
9.2.2 a list of volunteer supervisors who will accompany the children on the School Trip (subject to Clause 11.2); and
9.2.3 a written agreement that it will take all reasonable steps to supervise and generally ensure the health and safety of children during the School Trip.
9.3 If, after receiving the documents listed in Clause 9.2, Clarks is not satisfied that the Winner's School can adequately supervise the children during the School Trip, Clarks reserves the right to cancel the School Trip, or delay the event until the Winner's School has provided the necessary assurances as stipulated by Clarks.
9.4 The Winner's School must ensure that its nominated supervisors will exercise all reasonable skill and care in ensuring the Winner and his/her classmates are safe for the duration of the School Trip.
9.5 The Winner's School must also ensure that:
9.5.1 it provides Clarks with the shoe sizes of all confirmed child and adult attendees within 3 weeks of the School Trip; and
9.5.2 children are adequately prepared for the weather conditions on the day of the School Trip.

10 School Trip organisation and costs
10.1 Clarks promises to arrange and pay for the following aspects of the School Trip:
10.1.1 any admission costs for entry to the School Trip Location;
10.1.2 transportation to and from the Winner's School to the School Trip location;
10.1.3 travel insurance (where necessary);
10.1.4 event staff to organise and manage the School Trip; and
10.1.5 lunch and snacks.
10.2 Clarks is not responsible for any other costs or expenses associated with the School Trip.
10.3 The Winner's School must obtain express permission from Clarks before paying for any of the costs listed in Clause 10.1. Clarks will not automatically indemnify the Winner's School if it decides to pay for any of the costs listed in Clause 10.1.
10.4 With reference to Clause 9, please note that the Winner's School must provide adequate volunteers to supervise and ensure the health and safety of children during the School Trip. No supervisors will be provided by Clarks.
10.5 Any costs referred to in Clause 10.1 will also apply to any volunteer supervisor nominated to attend the trip by the Winner's School in accordance with Clause 9.2.2. However, please note that Clarks will not automatically indemnify any volunteer for any personal costs incurred in attending the School Trip.

11 School Trip attendance
11.1 The Prize will only be available for registered members of Winner's class at the Winner's School. No other children or adults are permitted to attend unless they are teachers, parents or members of staff nominated by the Winner's School in order to supervise the children.
11.2 Volunteer supervisors nominated by the Winner's School may attend the School Trip. Please note, however, that the Winner's School may not nominate any more volunteer supervisors to attend the School Trip than are necessary to ensure the health and safety of the children.
11.3 The Winner's School must not permit any child to attend the School Trip unless they have received the following:
11.3.1 the school's standard consent form for school trips, as signed by the child's parent/ guardian; and
11.3.2 a release form (to be provided by Clarks) signed by the child's parent/ guardian consenting to film or photographs of the child being taken during the School Trip and used by Clarks for promotional reasons.
11.4 The Winner's School must provide Clarks with copies of the forms detailed above in Clause 11.3 on or before the School Trip Date.

12 Other rules
12.1 All entries are subject to approval by Clarks. In particular, Clarks will reject entries which are offensive, abusive, misleading, unethical, discriminating or defaming in nature.
12.2 The entrant's submission must be in a file format that Clarks can access. If Clarks is not able to open the file because it is corrupted, or because the file format is not supported, the entrant may be asked to submit their entry again. If the entrant fails to submit their entry in a file format that Clarks can access before the Competition closing date, the entry will be considered invalid and will not be considered for selection by the Competition Judges.
12.3 Entries must be the sole work of the entrant. Any plagiarised entry, or entry that is not the sole work of the entrant will be declared invalid. Clarks will cancel the Prize if a winning entry is found not to have been created by the entrant.
12.4 Clarks will not enter into any dialogue with entrants as to whether entries are valid for the purpose of Clauses 1, 2 or 3 of these Terms and Conditions. Clarks' decision is final as to whether an entry is valid. Proof of valid entry is not automatically proof of valid receipt.
12.5 By entering this Competition the entrant agrees to abide by the final decision of the Competition Judges. Entrants may not appeal the decision or request information as to how the Competition Judges reached their decision. Clarks will not respond to any correspondence purporting to challenge the validity of the Competition Judges' decision or query why a particular entry was not successful.
12.6 Clarks reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time on giving notice via
12.7 By entering this Competition the entrant's parent/guardian agree to the use of their child's personal data by Clarks for the purposes of administration of the Competition (including the publishing of your name, address and school) and any other purposes to which they have consented.
12.8 The Winner must agree to take part in and cooperate fully with all reasonable publicity at the request of Clarks including the use of his/her name and winning entry in such publicity without further recompense.
12.9 Entrants must not engage in or be connected with any conduct that may bring Clarks or its products into disrepute.
12.10 By entering the Competition all participants are bound to these Terms and Conditions. Any and all entries that do not conform to these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified from the promotion.
12.11 The decision of Clarks is final and binding in all matters. Correspondence will not be entered into.
12.12 These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with English Law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

13 Copyright
13.1 Entrants will retain copyright in the entries they submit. Entrants must not have infringed the rights of any other party or breached any laws when submitting their entry.
13.2 By submitting an entry, the entrant's parent/guardian consents to Clarks:
13.2.1 publishing, free of charge, the winner's name, town/city of residence and entry on the Clarks website and social media sites (including Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram); and
13.2.2 using, reproducing, modifying, adapting, publishing and displaying the winning entry free of charge in all media (include print and internet) at any time in the future for advertising and marketing purposes.

14 Liability
14.1 Except for liability for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation caused by negligence of Clarks, its employees or agents, neither Clarks, its employees nor their agents assume any responsibility for:
14.1.1 any loss or damage howsoever caused to the property of children or supervisors sustained during the School Trip;
14.1.2 any personal costs or expenses incurred by children, parents or members of staff of the Winner's School arising out of the School Trip;
14.1.3 any costs incurred by the Winner's School arising out of the School Trip;
14.1.4 any civil liability arising out of the acts or omissions of the Winner, the Winner's School or the Winner's classmates during the School Trip;
14.1.5 any disappointment arising out of any person's unavailability to attend the School Trip;
14.1.6 any disappointment or loss of opportunity experienced by unsuccessful entrants or entrants' whose entries are not correctly registered due to system failures of the Clarks website or administrative errors;
14.1.7 any failure to fulfil obligations of any third parties involved in this Competition;
14.1.8 any other matter outside of Clarks' reasonable control.
14.2 Clarks will not accept responsibility for any late, lost, damaged, incomplete or fraudulent entries.

After you have placed an order with us, we will send an email acknowledgment of that order to your designated email address. This email is a confirmation and receipt of your order.

If after we have confirmed your order we discover any unforeseen reason as to why we cannot complete it, we will cancel your order, in full or in part, and advise you by email, text or phone call, and refund when necessary.

Our receipt of your offer to purchase our goods is subject to their availability. Our acknowledgment of order acceptance via the web or email is not a guarantee of delivery. If we are unable to deliver the goods which you have offered to purchase we will tell you as quickly as possible and a full refund will be given. These terms and conditions, together with our current website prices, delivery details, contact details and privacy policy, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by us. Nothing said by any person on our behalf should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions.

All deliveries are subject to stock availability and authorisation of your payment.

We can either deliver your order to an address of your choice or a selected Clarks store. The delivery address must be in the UK, and hold a valid postcode. We do not deliver to Eire or BFPO addresses.

For home delivery, the delivery charge is the same, irrespective of the number of items ordered. (The maximum order you will be able to make is sixteen items/pairs of shoes, of which no more than two sizes can be of the same style).

Standard Delivery
For mainland UK and Northern Ireland there is no delivery charge for orders placed in store or online. Delivery is within five working days for mainland UK and Northern Ireland, and within seven days for outlaying areas. Orders being delivered to the Channel islands will take between 7-10 days.

By providing us with your mobile phone number and email address when placing your order, our parcel carrier will be able to text/email you when your item is on its way.

Next Day Delivery
The next day delivery service applies on orders placed before 6pm Sunday - Friday for delivery the next working day. Orders placed on Saturday will be delivered on Monday. The next day delivery service is only available in areas as specified by our courier service. If the service is not available in your area it will not be shown as an option once you have selected your delivery address. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

Please note that Next Day is a proof-of-delivery service, and requires a signature on delivery.

Deliveries are normally made Monday-Saturday from 8am-8pm (excluding Bank Holidays). You will receive a confirmation of despatch to your chosen email account, and you can track your items by logging into your account on the Clarks website.

Please be aware that during peak trading times it may take 1-2 days longer for your order to arrive.

For items ordered for collection at store, there is no delivery charge. Delivery to the store specified by you at the time of order will be within five working days. You will receive an email or SMS confirmation that your order has arrived, and it will be held at the store for nine working days for your collection. We make every effort to ensure that your order is carefully despatched to you, and we hope that you're happy with your purchase. However, if you have any cause for dissatisfaction with your goods you may return them.

Items must be in their original condition, unworn and returned within 28 days of receiving them. You should follow the procedure below.

i) Direct to a Clarks store
For an immediate refund, you can return the items to any Clarks store, (with the exception of the Heathrow airport store, outlet/discount stores, and stores in Eire), within 28 days. What to do:-
Take your items to be returned to the Clarks store of your choice. You MUST have:
Your despatch note and a completed returns note (at the bottom of your despatch document)
The credit/debit card used to make the original purchase
If the item is in its original condition, we will process the refund for you.

ii) Return by post
You can return any items to us, free of charge at any Post Office or over 5,500 Collect+ stores, within 28 days of receipt.

What to do:-
Complete and detach the returns note (at the bottom of your despatch document) and enclose it, together with your returned items, inside the original packaging. Goods cannot be returned without this information.
Returns via Post Office;
Peel off the returns label from your delivery note and attach it on the outside of the parcel over your address.
Take your parcel to any Post Office, remembering to obtain a Proof of Postage receipt. You must retain this until the item(s) are credited on your statement, as this enables us to trace your order.
Returns via a Collect+ store;
Write your order number on the Collect+ label
Peel off the returns label from the Collect+ document and attach it on the outside of the parcel over your address
Take your parcel to any of the 5500 local Collect+ stores. You'll receive proof of postage and a code to track your return online. You must retain this until the item(s) are credited on your statement, as this enables us to trace your order.

We cannot process any exchange requests by post. If you require an exchange, please take your item to a store of your choice and we will be happy to help. We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving your return.

Right to cancel this agreement Back to top

Under the Consumer Contracts regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your agreement with Clarks within a period of 14 calendar days. This period begins the day after you receive the goods. Please contact us as soon as possible to notify us of your cancellation request. If your order has already been dispatched then you will need to either refuse delivery or return the goods, click here for further details on our returns policy. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the product. Goods must be returned before a refund will be processed and the product must be returned in its original condition.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your agreement, you can do so by writing to us, calling 01458 899904, or by completing our cancellation form to do so please click here. Orders can only be cancelled before processing/despatch has begun.

Once your order has been canceled, any sum debited from your payment card by us will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible. If cancelled orders are erroneously delivered to you, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.

We reserve the right to cancel the order if:-
We have insufficient stock to fulfill your order
We are unable to obtain payment
We do not deliver to your area
A product fault or an error in the product description has been identified

All rights, including copyright, in the text, graphics and layout of this website and in all software and software compilations are owned by, or licensed to, Clarks.

You are not permitted, without our prior written consent, to copy, transmit, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, store, modify or adapt this website, its contents or underlying software, except for personal non-commercial use.

We have made every effort to ensure that the products are fairly described, that the product information is correct, and that the colours of our products are displayed as accurately as possible. However, as the actual colours you see will vary with the quality of your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your display will accurately reflect the colour of the product requested on delivery.

If, on receiving ordered goods, you have any cause for dissatisfaction you may return them via our Returns procedure, which is explained below.

We may establish general practices and limits concerning the use of the website and the services we provide, including limits to the size and number of any messages that have been sent, or the duration that any messages may be stored on our website. We are entitled to delete any material from our website at any time, and we will not be liable for deleting or not storing any material that you may transmit to us.

You may leave a review of a product on its specific product page. We will review product and publish product reviews within 4-5 working days of posting, and we will directly contact a customer where a review indicates a problem with a product. If we choose not to post a review we will contact the customer via their Clarks account to explain why. We reserve the right to edit or delete illegal or inappropriate content. We will not change a rating once set by a customer.

We reserve the right to use customer reviews (in full or part) in our marketing materials. These may include in-store, online, email and direct mail marketing.

If you use the site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and also for ensuring that unauthorised access to your account is prohibited. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that your information is kept confidential to you and we would therefore recommend that you use a password unique to Clarks.
