STURDY BUT LIGHT VERY ADAPTABLE TO ALL OUTDOOR CONDITIONS. I HAVE TESTED THEM IN SNOW AS TO INSULATION PROPERTIES

  • 3 stars out of 5Not true to size.

    Andrew, sedbergh

Good shoes. Like the look of them but can't get my feet into them. Ordered my usual Clarks size at 8.5H but these are longer and thinner - really a 9G. This has happened with other shoes recently from Clarks who used to make a point of having wide sizes. Unfortunately it seems no longer the case with many models.

  • 4 stars out of 5Lovely shoes but sizing...

    Candida, witney

I ordered these shoes in an 8.5 in both the black and brown colour. Despite both being labelled on the shoe and box 8.5 they are clearly different sizes (the black being the bigger pair), so much so you can tell by just looking at them. Having said that the shoes are lovely and of a very good quality. We are keeping the black ones - the brown are too small.

  • 5 stars out of 5Look good, feel good.

    John, newport pagnell

These new shoes look really smart. The wide fit makes them very comfortable and when I'm walking in them they really make walking feel easy despite their size(13). Sole is good for grip as well. Definitely recommend.

  • 5 stars out of 5Great walking shoes

    John, bristol

Really comfortable from day one. Fairly broad fitting. Bought the brown and was so pleased also ordered a black pair. I don't drive and walk a great deal - these work really well for me.

  • 2 stars out of 5Comfortable enough in the shop but...

    Christopher, gloucester

These shoes look sturdy and very well made. They have a good quality cushioned sole which is essential as I am a security guard and I am on my feet for 10 hours a day (excluding very short breaks). However, despite having average width feet, and these being a G, after two days I got a nasty blister on the side of my heel from where they were rubbing, and also the right shoe applies a lot of pressure to a certain point on the top of my foot, above the highest part of my arch (my arches are not especially high). No amount of fiddling with the lacing or adjusting the tongue seems to alleviate the pressure- and the cause is the fold in the leather to the side of the tongue, plus a lacing eyelet directly above it. The left shoe doesn't seem to have that issue. On a plus point, like the last pair of Clarks I bought, the back of the heels don't rub (usually a problem for meas I have 'heel spurs'). Apart from that, the bottom of my heels are sore because these, like any shoe, need breaking in to the shape of my heels, but that is not the fault of the shoe.
