  • 2 stars out of 5Straps have snapped off after 4 months use. !!

    claire, nottingham

Bought these September now in start of December and the straps have snapped of the top, they have also had the stitching fraying as well, I think for the money being at the higher price end they are poor quality and im going to try and return them as I don't think they should wear out after only 5 months. Love Clarks in general but not happy with this particular shoe.

  • 1 stars out of 5Rubber toes disintegrated after 4 days wear!!!

    Janet, bolton

My 8 year old wore these for 4 days before I noticed the rubber toe cap was disintegrating on one shoe. On inspecting closer all the stitching is fraying too on the rip tapes and around the toes after only 4 days wear. If these were cheap supermarket £10 shoes I would have been expecting this, but at £40 they are certainly not cheap and I thought I was paying for quality. Luckily I kept the receipt. I will be taking these back and asking for a different pair as these seem very poor quality for a high end price. Feedback from Clarks: We are very proud of the quality of our products and to ensure this all our new designs and materials are tested before they go on sale.  If you are disappointed with any of our products please return to a store with your receipt so a member of staff can investigate.

  • 4 stars out of 5Great Shoes for my son...

These shoes are durable, comfortable, and look good!! My son really likes wearing them and couldn't wait to show them off at school. The member of staff (Debbie) who served us at our branch in Yeovil, Somerset, was very helpful and informative and took her time to answer all our questions, even though the store was very busy.

  • 4 stars out of 5Great Shoe, bought another pair in next size!

    victoria, upminster

My boys spend the best part of the day being rough on their feet, scootering, climbing and playing football - these shoes have taken quite a punishment! The shoe was my sons choice, stating that the rest look babyish! I have to say they look good and have withstood most that is thrown at it, including puddles! The only complaint is that they seem very popular with his class mates (many have this style) and so we have to make sure that the right shoes are on the right child ;). £40 does seem a lot I agree, but these have lasted 5 months of punishment, and could go another month or two, but my childs feet have grown!

  • 2 stars out of 5Good service, Poor quality shoes

    sinead, canterbury

Just bought these for both my children. Service at the store was great. Within three weeks the rubber around the toes has disintegrated, and on one pair it has started to come away from the sole. I have always bought Clarks school shoes and have always found them to be really hard wearing, but not these. Will be taking them back to exchange them for different ones. Given two stars only because service was good. Feedback from Clarks: Thanks for leaving a review; we’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with your purchase. We value all our customer feedback so thank you for your comments which have been fed back to our team.

  • 5 stars out of 5Excellent service for disabled children

    Alison from burton-on-trent

Bought a pair of these school shoes today. Not only a fabulous fit but excellent service from all the staff. My son is severely autistic and the staff couldn't have been faster or more accommodating to his needs. Really impressed and shall certainly shop here again. Well done!

  • 5 stars out of 5Excellent school shoes

    Julia from carlisle

I have just bought these for my nine year old son. He chose them himself and he loves them. He says they are extremely comfortable and with the Velcro fastening they are very practical. A good all rounder and not a bad price. These were bought to replace a pair that were bought elsewhere by husband. The previous ones purchased were cheaper, but lasted barely six weeks. I am quite sure that on the strength of all the previous shoes we've bought at Clark's that these new ones will still be going when he's outgrown them!

  • 3 stars out of 5Disappointing quality for price

Really disappointed with Clarks quality, these are not cheap shoes, but when you decide to shell out £40 you at least expect them to last! However, these shoes lasted my 5 year old just two months before the stitching came undone from both the front part of the shoe around the toe, and on the velcro straps. Also found the soles wore rather thin quite quickly too. I have always bought Clarks for my children for school, but over the years it seems that as the prices increase, the quality seems to deteriorate each time(this is not the first pair of Clarks I have purchased that have been of poor quality). This term I have avoided Clarks shoes and bought Startrite shoes for my son, and at £47 I hope (and pray) they will last much longer than these did!!!! Feedback from Clarks: Thanks for leaving a review; we’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with your purchase. We value all our customer feedback so thank you for your comments which have been fed back to our team.

  • 1 stars out of 5DISAPPOINTED

    Christine, bexleyheath

My son had these shoes for four weeks. In which time all the straps had frayed and the soles had started to separate from the shoe. I took them back to Clarks who exchanged them with no problem for another pair. After six weeks of wearing the exact same thing happened. Not happy. A very poor quality shoe, something you do not expect when paying £40.00.

Just bought these shoes for my son to start the new term. When I asked him if they were comfortable he said they rub at bit. Hoping this will get better as he wears them in!

I just bought these shoes for my 9 year old son, they look smart but yet comfortable for an active and sporty boy. He gets good wear from his shoes at Clarks so that's why we keep going back.
