• Wide Calf - Not Really!!!

  Really disappointed that as with most boots I try they are too tight on the calf even though advertised as wide-calf! I've got a pair of brown Clarks wide-calf boots that I bought a couple of years ago and they are a fab fit so I'm very confused. Having said that, if these boots fit you, you are very fortunate as they are gorgeous!

  I thought I was taking a bit of a risk with these boots, I ordered them online & didn't really know what to expect. What a great decision! These boots are beautiful & very comfortable. They look so classy, the patent colour is fab. A great buy especially as I ordered with the 20% off offer. Well done Clarks, keep these modern styles!

• Too tight!!

  I am normally a 7E so was really looking forward to trying these boots on. Was very disappointed at how tight they were - especially around the ankle. They are gorgeous, well made boots. Just the sizing was a bit too tight for me. I ordered another pair of boots that only came in a D fitting and they were incredibly comfortable and not tight at all. So a bit confused....

• Tight around Ankles

  Great Boots, but difficult to zip up at ankles. I have think ankles, not cankles. Zip took a lot of bending an breaking in to prevent from digging into ankles. Got bruising for a week or so, but now worn in and ok. I do think that there is a design fault though.   Been searching for some nice boots for months, especially with a wider calf fitting, ordered the E fitting after reading the reviews, they were so good, I ordered them! Also got 10% off and free delivery! Have arrived today 21st jan. did take nearly a week to arrive, but we had quite a lot of bad snow in Essex at the weekend! Was so pleased when they arrived mon eve! They are really nice and look so expensive! Well done clarks, good quality and choice of fittings!

  Bought these on a recommendation of a friend, couldn't get them in store, so came online, ordered them on Saturday and received them 12.30pm Monday - pretty amazing service, I have pretty big legs so ordered the E fitting, they are fairly tight, but I know from my friend that they give quite a lot, now considering the chestnut pair, very good price compared to the boots I was looking at in Duo and Russell & Bromley in a similar style.

• Nice quality leather but baggy at the top

  Positive: the leather was good quality Negative: the stitching all around the foot part of the boot was white/light coloured i did not like this on an all black boot personally as when i looked down at them thats all i noticed. Negative: the top was bagggy for my legs, and my legs are not thin not straight, suggest this style for larger ladies or heavy calves

• Love these boots!

  I really struggle to find nice neat looking boots that will fit over my calves, but these are perfect. I don’t have particularly wide feet but these fit fine and I wear them pretty much every day. I’d love them to be on sale so I can buy a second pair guilt-free, but I’ll probably end up buying them whether or not!

  I've been looking for some riding type leather boots for ages. Previously bought Neve Ella which were a brilliant buy in the sale but wearing them around the house they felt a little tight in foot width and leg width. I was in my local Clarks store and saw these. From the minute I have put them on they are sooo comfortable. Also because they are elasticated the whole way up the back leg is ideal for anyone with slightly larger calves. Don't let this put you off as the design is very classy and you would hardly know the elastic is there. Reluctantly taking Neve Ella back as they are more comfortable.

  These boots have just arrived in the post and they are truly fab! Gorgeous leather and so comfortable. The elastic panel on the calf means you can wear them with dresses, leggings and over skinny jeans. Truly versatile and a must for your winter wardrobe! I love them so much I'm going to buy them in brown as well!

  Boots arrived today in size 6E Almost perfect fit - could have been a bit narrower on the leg but I have very wide feet and narrow ankles so struggle to get a good fit in anything

  Loved the boots, very well made. After recent surgery have had to wear leggings which I haven't done for many years and these boots look fabulous. Very comfortable so I can see me getting lots of use for years to come.

  I was looking for a pair of boots I could wear all day and these are perfect. I bought a pair of these in Black in store and like them so much I ordered a pair in Chestnut online. I have to wear arch supports with my boots and Clarks were the only shop on the high street with a range of widths to suit. I'm so pleased I didn't have to compromise style for comfort these are really classy and well made and a good price too.

  Just received these boots, absolutely top quality leather and fit for the price. They slip on like slippers and the elastic panel at the back enables them to fit any size calf. If your not sure dont hesitate you wont be disapointed.

• Great boot, but not wide

  I ordered the Nessa Clare (E fit) along with Orinoco Jazz (D fit)- I don't have wide feet and hadn't noticed that the Nessa Clare was wide until I was about to place the order. I was thrilled when it arrived and I found they fit perfectly and there was no apparent difference in fit between the two styles. I love the look of the boot and they appear to be well made so I'm looking forward to wearing them for a while.

• Fab Boots!!!

  Like some of the other reviewers said these were really tight around the ankle and hard to do up there, even though I have slim ankles. Think there is a bit of a design fault here. • Comfy but Classy

  I had been searching for comfortable leather boots for ages... I was so frustrated until I stumbled upon these boots, they were a bit pricey for me but they were worth every penny!!! They have good grips, cushion insoles and lined with a thin layer of fleece to keep your feet especially warm. I have particularly skinny calves and these boots weren't too far off, a lil wide for me but I used leg warmers or boot fillers to fill I the gaps :)

• Comfy and slimming

  These Boots are a great fit I have wide feet and high insteps and the E fitting is a lovely fir. Also I don't have skinny calves and the elastic panel makes them easy to do up. They are very smart and slimming on the leg!!

• Calf too small

  I always buy Clark's shoes but I am disappointed yet again for another year. These boots are lovely but no where near fit me. I have a 17 inch calf and don't have fat ankles and have only once been able to find a pair of knee high boots to fit me. They actually did a wide fit range on their normal styles. I have emailed Clark's and asked them to cater for the large portion of the women who fail to find decent quality boots to fit them. but they insisted that they do. I think there is a large market they are missing sadly out on. • Beautiful boots

  These boots just came in the post and fit perfect! They are soft black leather with stretchy material at the back for people with wider calfs.. I did ballet therefore have muscular calves and these fit perfect! Good thick sole with grip for the winter months where it's slippy and icy! Don't hesitate to buy these :)

• AT LAST, BOOTS THAT I CAN ZIP UP

  these boots feel very comfortable on the width and i can zip them up but i think they could do with being made wider on the leg/ankle and i can understand why they are still not wide enough for some people.I usually take a 6.5 size but found them to be tight on the length so had to go up to a size 7 which felt fine.Having gone 10 years with not being able to zip boots up i'm delighted that clarks have finally made some that fit me as all their previously so called wide boots fittted on the foot but i couldn't zip them up.I haven't worn them outside yet so i'm giving them a 4 star rating just in case

• Amazing boots at great price

  My first boots I have bought in the UK, what a great decision. Great quality, comfort and style and decent. The chestnut colour is so good and looks classy whether its with jeans or with dress. My sister-in-law liked them so much too so i got her same boots in black.
