  having owned the 'flat' version of this style, i couldnt wait to try these on. i have to say, i have not been disappointed at all. they have a hidden platform front inside so even though they look fairly high heeled, they feel like you are wearing almost flat shoes which makes them so comfy for everyday wear. the patent is lovely - i prefer it to normal leather as it makes them feel a little more special. they look good with skirts/trousers/leggings & even jeans & are now my new best friends :)

  These shoes were instantly comfortable because of the cushioned soles and very stylish in patent. I have been finding it difficult to find shoes that I can walk to and from work in (3 miles) that are not flat and these more than meet my requirements. Well done, Clarks - please make a variation of these each season!

  I've just received these shoes and they are fab! I agree with one of the previous reviews in that you think you're wearing a pair of flat shoes which is great as I worried that I would find the heel too high. My only complaint is that the size 4 was huge and the 3.5 is a tad too tight but I'm hoping they will bag out with wear. I would say that there's quite a difference in the 2 sizes even although there's only half a size between them. My friend has these shoes in a dark red which I think she got last year. Its a pity that colour is not still available. A black suede would also be good. Totally love these shoes. Feedback from Clarks: We do try to be as consistent as possible in terms of sizes and width fittings and all our styles are fit tested as part of our product development process.  However we do find that styles will fit differently due to the differences in design and that a customer may need to select a bigger or smaller size in order to find the most suitable fit.

• Fanastic

  Really pleased with these shoes. Had surgery on my foot and been searching for months for s stylish but comfortable pair of shoes for work that would go with dresses and trousers and had a little height (I'm only 5ft1") This are brilliant, had them on all day today and my feet feel great and I am on my feet a lot. Prefer the patent shoe to the leather as it looks more stylish.

• Comfortable wedges

  Bought these for work and tried them out for a wedding, even taking a spare pair of shoes just in case. not needed as these were really comfortable. Only other comment was that the front is quite shallow and is a little tight when you first put them on but fine once your foot has 'settled'.

  I had to get some smart shoes for work but I didn't want to look old fashioned. I was unsure about these because I can't walk in a heel at all and the wedge on these looks quite high. When I opened the box they definitely had the wow factor. The patent is lovely and the wedge stops them from looking too Miss Marple! They don't feel high at all, the sole is cushioned and it gives the feeling of walking in a flat shoe (another reviewer has said this and I didn't believe it but it's true!). Love them!
