Shopping online with Clarks is easy – just follow these simple steps...


Browse by department


Wherever you are on the Clarks site you can browse by department using the navigation strip across the top of the page - the white space with the words 'womens', 'mens' etc that runs horizontally along the top of the page.
Simply click on the appropriate heading to see styles in that department.


Look for shoes in a certain category


You can go straight to the department you are interested in by clicking on one of the headings in the navigation strip at the top of the page (e.g. 'womens', 'mens'). Once in that department you can narrow your search by using the category links on the left hand side of the page.

Alternatively, by hovering over the headings (e.g. 'womens', 'mens') in the navigation strip at the top of the page you can see sub-headings which lead you straight to these categories - e.g. for 'womens' you can narrow your search with categories such as 'boots' or 'high heels'

Once you have chosen a category, you can narrow your search even further by using the options to the left of the page. These allow you to search our products using one or several criteria, e.g. price, function, colour and style.


Search for a specific style


If you know the name or product number of the style you are looking for, you can type this into the white search box at the top right hand side of the page (underneath the 'My Shopping Basket' link) and clicking on the 'search' button next to it.

A list of the style (or styles) that match your search will then appear. If you only know part of the product name, e.g. 'Henderson', products that may match your search will appear, e.g. the styles 'Henderson Band', 'Henderson Fun' or 'Henderson Sky'. However, only inputting part of a product code will not return any products.


Choosing a style


After you have narrowed your search using the category options or the search options on the left hand of the page, you will be presented with a list of styles.

Each product on the list will have a small image, the name of the style, it's colour and it's price.

To learn more about a particular product simply click on the image to see its product page. These product pages will enable you to see a larger image of the style, plus alternative views of the product from different angles, all with a zoom facility.

Here you'll also find a written description of the style, and information about its construction – e.g. material, fastenings, heel height (if applicable). If any technologies have been used in the style, for example Active Air, you can click on the links in the written text to visit a page which explains these in more detail.

Stock availability of the style will also be visible on these pages. If a size is available, the box with the size in will be shaded in grey. If it is out of stock, the box with the size in will be light in colour with a cross running through it.


Placing an order Back to top


If the size you want is in stock, and you would like to order it, simply click on the grey box on the size you want and it will turn green. You will notice for shoe styles that unless there is a choice of widths, the default width will automatically be green. If the style you wish to purchase comes in different widths, click on the width you would like to turn the box green. For more information on sizes and widths, click on the 'size guide' link underneath the boxes.

If the style you like is not available in the width you want, use the left hand navigation bar to search for styles in the width you require.

Once the size and width boxes are both green, the 'Add to order' box will turn green. Click on this to begin placing your order.

Once you have done this an 'Added to basket!' pop-up box will appear (with a small image of the shoe you have ordered, its price, and the size and width you have chosen) to confirm your selection.

From this box you can go directly to the checkout (by clicking on the 'Checkout' button), or you can continue shopping.

Once you have selected a product and ordered in this way, you can view it by clicking on the 'My Shopping Basket' at the very top right of the page. From this page you can proceed directly to the checkout, via the green 'View checkout' button.

My basket
At the checkout (which can be accessed by clicking on the 'Checkout' button at the very top right of the page), you will see a summary of the item(s) you have placed in your shopping basket.

The majority of items on the Clarks site are available by both our Home Delivery and Collect From Store services. If this is the case for the items you have chosen, these two options will be shown by each item.

For each item tick the option you would prefer – either Home Delivery (delivery to a UK address of your choice), or Collect From Store (delivery to a UK Clarks' store of your choice).

The total amount you have to pay will be displayed to the right of the screen. For Home Delivery orders this will be the price of your item(s) plus any applicable postage charge; for Collect From Store orders this will be nothing – you will pay for your item(s) when you collect them in store.

To proceed with the order click on one of the green 'Checkout' buttons (in the top right and bottom right of the screen).

My details
To proceed with your purchase you will need to log in to your account (if you have not already done so) by entering your email address and password under the 'Returning customers' heading.

If you have not set up an account you can do so at this point under the 'New customers' heading.

Collection
Once you have logged in/created an account, you will be asked for further information about how you wish to receive your goods.

i) Collect from Store
If you choose to collect from store, you will be asked to specify the store you wish to collect your order from. You can search for your nearest store by typing your place/post code in the box provided and clicking on the green 'find a store' button. To choose a store, click on its address in the list provided and then click on the green 'Continue' button in the bottom right.

If you would like to search for an alternative store, simply type in a different place/postcode in the search box and click on the 'find a store' button.

Once you have chosen a store you will then be asked how you would like us to contact you when your order arrives in your chosen store – by text or email (or both). You will need to enter your mobile phone number or email address (or both) in order for us to do this.

ii) Home Delivery
If you choose the home delivery option, you will be asked for the address you wish your goods to be delivered to. It is worth noting that we can only deliver to a valid postcode within the UK.

You can choose for your item(s) to be despatched to an already-stored address you have entered previously, or enter a new one using the address boxes. To save time, you can enter a postcode and then click on the green 'Find address' button to search for your address details.

If your delivery address and billing address are the same, you can tick the 'use for billing address' box above the address boxes. The Home Delivery options available to your chosen address will then be listed, together with their prices and an estimated delivery date. Standard postage is free.

Choose the delivery option you would like from the box and add any special instructions in the box below. Click on the green 'Continue' button.

Review
This part of the checkout gives you a chance to review your order, and make any changes, in full before you enter your payment details. Your item(s), price to pay, personal details, collection/delivery details will be listed for you to see (and amend, if necessary). If you are happy with your order you can proceed by clicking on the green 'Place my order' button for Collect from Store, or the green 'Proceed to Payment' button for Home Delivery orders.

Payment & place order
If you have chosen the Collect from Store option you will not see this section, as you will have nothing to pay online. Instead, you will pay for your items in store when you collect them.

If you have chosen the Home Delivery option you will proceed to this section. You will be taken to a page headed 'payments powered by WorldPay'. Please select your preferred method of payment from the list provided. You can make a payment with the following credit/debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Electron. Please note: we no longer accept Solo as a method of payment.

You will then be taken to a second 'WorldPay' page where you will complete your transaction. Please enter the card details and check the billing address is correct (it can be amended at this stage if required). When you are happy, please press the 'submit' button to place your order.

Please note: we only accept cards issued from a UK bank/building society and registered to a UK address. A confirmation of your order will appear on the screen. You will see a reference number (which will also be emailed to you) in order for you to track your order via the 'My account' page.

Home Delivery items will be delivered within five working days of your order (for standard delivery). Collect from Store items will be delivered to your chosen store within five working days of your order. You will be notified via your choice of text or email (or both) when your goods have arrived. You will then have nine working days to collect your goods.
