And with 550 stores across the UK and Ireland, ranging in size and turnover, we can help you find that special retail role.
Typically, our stores are headed up by a Store Manager, with the team being made up of an Assistant Manager, Team Leaders and Sales Team Members.
Area Sales Managers
Our Area Sales Managers keep Clarks delivering fantastic results time after time. With enough financial and budgetary acumen for the lot of us, they keep track of our budgets, costs and profits. They can analyse, plan and organise just as well as they can lead and inspire. Which is why they’re able to motivate and develop the teams that they manage over multiple sites – whether they’re in franchising, factory shopping or the Clarks retail network.

Store Managers
Part entrepreneur, part retailer, part coach – Store Managers lead and motivate their in-store sales team to maximise sales and profit.
Our on-the-ground ‘brand ambassadors’, they embody all that we stand for and promote and champion the brand through their store, so enthusiasm and passion are a must. They also need to be commercially switched-on and financially savvy – always looking to improve the customer experience through the highest retail standards.

Assistant Managers

Team Leaders
Selling fashion with confidence is a big part of what being a Team Leader with Clarks is all about. But encouraging others to do the same is just as important. So, our Team Leaders are relied upon for many things, especially agreeing daily individual and departmental targets, and giving feedback on previous ones. Being a Team Leader takes a real flair for motivating others – because that’s what it takes to make sure we achieve both our long and short term goals. Commercially minded, skilled in sales, and always organised, Team Leaders make meeting targets a pleasurable, driving and uniting experience.

Sales Team Members
It’s not just about selling shoes here at Clarks – the day-to-day running of a store can involve anything from fitting First Shoes to building customer rapport, unpacking stock to arranging shoe displays. That’s why there’s no ‘one size fits all’ role in our sales teams. We offer a variety of flexible working hours, excellent training and career development. So from students through to returning parents, those with a talent for working within a sales-focused environment can get just what they need out of their role.
