Retail

It’s not about creating identikit retail robots. When it comes to learning and development we much prefer the individual approach. After all, what’s right for a Sales Team Member isn’t necessarily right for a Store Manager. So just what can you expect?

Assistant Managers, Team Leaders & Sales Team Members

It’s always best to start at the beginning. So we have. Shine is our retail induction programme. It’s like being in a helicopter and looking down on your store and your job. You’ll get to see how the store works, what Clarks are aiming for, who’s in your store team, how much money your store takes, that sort of thing.

Shine will then help you focus on the skills and behaviours needed to deliver our famed customer service and, of course, help you to sell successfully.

Store Managers

To get you off on the best possible foot, there’s our Store Manager induction programme, helping you to settle into your role and know what’s what and who’s who. Every year Store Managers are supported with key training to deliver their business objectives.

You’ll also have access to an entire library of learning guides. These are self-teach guides which focus on key competencies needed to support the business.

But there’s more. We’re currently rolling out a new Talent Management Scheme, supporting the development of high potential colleagues. And because we’re as committed to your career development as you are, we will listen to all requests for further learning and study, as long as it’s relevant to your role with Clarks.
